Arm Lift Surgery

Permanent Solution for Firmer, more Aesthetic, and Younger-Looking Arms

Over time, skin laxity and sagging may occur in the arm area due to aging, weight loss, or genetic predisposition. These sags, especially on the inside of the upper arm, can be aesthetically disturbing and make it difficult to choose clothes.
Arm lift surgery (brachioplasty) is an effective procedure that reshapes the arm contour by surgically removing sagging excess skin and fat tissue.
As Op. Dr. Şener Küçük, I aim to give my patients more toned and natural arm lines.

Treatment Process

Performed under general anesthesia Takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours An incision is made on the inside of the arm Sagging skin and excess fat tissue are removed Combined with liposuction if necessary Closed with aesthetic stitches A 1-night hospital stay is recommended A special arm corset is used for 3–4 weeks

Duration of Effect

The effect is immediately noticeable after the procedure The final appearance occurs within 4–6 weeks as the edema decreases Lasting results are obtained Re-relaxation may occur as a result of aging and weight changes

Application Areas

Sagging on the inner surface of the upper arm Arm skin sagging due to weight loss Old age conditions where skin elasticity is lost Making the arm contour more defined Areas with fat accumulation (together with liposuction)

Advantages

Tighter and more aesthetic arm profile Permanent solution in the appearance of sagging and looseness Increased comfort in clothing selection Increased self-confidence More effective results with combined procedures Minimal scarring with aesthetic suture techniques

What is Arm Lift Surgery?

Brachioplasty is an aesthetic operation in which the arm is tightened again by surgically removing loose skin and excess fat tissue on the inside of the arm. Thanks to the surgery, the upper arm area has a fitter, smoother and more aesthetic appearance.

Who is it Suitable for?

  • Those who have sagging in the arm area after weight loss

  • Those who lose skin elasticity due to aging

  • Those who feel looseness and rippling in their arms

  • Those who have decreased self-confidence due to sagging arm skin

  • Those who cannot achieve arm tightness despite sports and exercise

  • Individuals with good general health

Pre-Operative Preparation

  • The arm area is evaluated in detail

  • The degree of sagging and skin structure are analyzed

  • Combined planning with liposuction can be done if necessary

  • Blood tests and anesthesia suitability checks are performed

  • If you smoke, it is recommended to quit at least 2 weeks before

Surgical Process

  • Type of Anesthesia: General anesthesia

  • Duration: Approximately 1.5 – 2 hours

  • Incision: It is usually made on the inner surface of the arm, along the line extending from the armpit to the elbow

  • Additional Procedure: Can be combined with liposuction

  • Stitching: Aesthetic and hidden stitches are used

  • Discharge: You can stay in the hospital on the same day or for 1 night

Recovery Process

  • There may be edema, bruising and tension in the arm area in the first days

  • It is possible to return to daily life within 3-5 days

  • It is recommended to use a special arm corset for 3 weeks

  • The stitches dissolve on their own or are removed in 10-12 days

  • Sports and heavy activities should be avoided for 4-6 weeks

  • Scars may be visible in the first months, but fade over time

Is Arm Lift a Permanent Solution?

Yes. Since the sagging tissue is surgically removed, the results are long-lasting. However, re-relaxation may occur after advancing age and significant weight changes. This process can be delayed with a healthy lifestyle.

Advantages

  • Tighter and more aesthetic appearance in the arm area

  • More comfortable clothing selection with the elimination of sagging

  • Freedom to use arms freely and increased self-confidence

  • More pronounced results with combined procedures (e.g. liposuction)

  • Fast recovery and quick return to daily life

Possible Risks

  • Infection

  • Bleeding or seroma (fluid accumulation)

  • Temporary numbness

  • Asymmetry

  • Scar at the incision site (fades over time, scar care is important)
